List of Famous Heritages to Travel in Nepal

Nepal is not only rich in natural sceneries but also cultural heritages. Some of the important cultural heritages of the country has been also enlisted on the list of world heritage sites by UNESCO. The heritage sites can be an important roaming spots for you. Travelling to the cultural heritage site can take you back in time thus making you feel relived and refreshed. Some of the heritage sites of the country are as follows:

1. Lumbini:
Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha which is known as the famous shrine for buddhists all over the world lies here. Various heritages presented there are renovated from time to time. Ashok pillar,
puskarini pokhari and maydevi temple are situated on the site.




2. Sagarmatha National Park:
This is the same area where the world's highest mountain peak Sagarmatha (Mt.Everest) lies. Besides, various other mountains like Lhotse, Choyu, Pumori, etc. are found along with pleasant vegetations and
animals.

3. Chitwan National Park:
One of the important tourist destinations for tourists which covers an area about 932 sq.kms. This park is especially famous for worl's rarest animals such as one-horned rhinos and Bengal tigers.

4. Hanumandhoka Durbar Square:
Present in the heart of Nepal, the area covers various historic and architectural monuments of Medieaval age. The area also covers temple such as Kasthamandap, big bell and Nagara.

5. Pashupatinath  Temple:
This is a sacred shrine for hindus and also a piece of art for tourists from different areas from the pre-historic times.About 492 temples in different styles are found here.

6. Bauddhanath Mahachaitya:
It is one of the oldest stupa which is believed to be built in fifth century. It is also a famous shrine for buddhists all around the world.


7. Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square:
Situated at the opposite ends from Kathmandu, both of the heritages exert an important phase of Nepalese civilization.

8. Swayambhunath Stupa:
It is also one of the sacred place for buddhists as well as for hindus. The premise consists of various temples, mounds, and idols. Besides, a beautiful valley can be seen through the mountain.
